Ascent 500 Extra Long is a versatile sleeping bag that keeps warm in temperatures down to -6°C
Rab has developed this medium weight down-filled sleeping bag specifically for camping, backpacking and mountain adventures. It is perfect as a first down sleeping bag and suitable for all your trips in mild to moderate temperatures.
The sleeping bag gives you a lot of comfort for the money, with many features similar to Rab's most technical sleeping bags. Ascent 500 is filled with 500 grams of down with 650 fill power and the down is ethically produced in Europe. The outer fabric is made of durable Pertex® Quantum and the sleeping bag's zipper is three-quarters long, has a plush zipper cover and the pull tab glows in the dark. The sleeping bag's mummy fit and wide foot end means you have plenty of room without losing warmth. The tailored neck divider, inner collar and drawstring hood provide that extra warmth you need when it gets colder, so you can sleep warm and well.
For your phone and other essentials, the sleeping bag has an inner zippered pocket. The Ascent 500 comes with a cotton storage sack and a compression bag that keeps the size down and protects the sleeping bag during travel.
Ascent 500 is also available in normal and women's models.
All Rab's down sleeping bags are filled in Derbyshire in the UK with hydrophobic down, which is water-repellent down with a Nikwax® down impregnation.

The sleeping bag is EN-tested with a men's comfort of -6 °C (EN-limit). Keep in mind that comfort temperature is personal, if you are frozen you should always choose a warmer sleeping bag and feel free to supplement with sleeping bag sheets and underwear to add a few extra degrees.
