STAIKA IS MUCH ABOUT SIMPLICITY, without being frugal for the sake of it. It is lightweight, stable, spacious and relatively light; Staika is a tent to take with you on all types of tours. We originally designed the Staika for canoeists and kayakers who wanted a stable and completely independent tent that could travel even in awkward tent sites. Since then, Staika has been appreciated by many enthusiasts, such as polar explorers, alpinists and touring skiers. Everyone appreciates the Staika for its stability and weather resistance, as well as for its reliable base camp function. Long-distance cyclists enjoy Staika's simple and free-standing construction, as well as hikers and backpackers appreciate the tent's spaciousness in relation to its relatively low weight and stable construction.
- Outer tent fabric in Kerlon 1800 and 10 mm poles give the tent exceptional strength.
- Four-season construction: the outer tent walls go down to the ground and the mosquito net sections can be covered with adjustable fabric panels.
- Dome construction with several crossing bars provides very good capacity to cope with large amounts of snow.
- Has plenty of room for two people and their equipment.
- Linked, but detachable inner and outer tents for simultaneous setup.
- The fully self-contained dome design requires no ground pegs for set-up and the uncomplicated short pole channel and pole hook system provides quick and easy set-up.
- Double entrances and apses mean that an entrance can always be located leeward from the wind and offer flexible options for entry/exit and storage.
- As an option, there are protective floors that cover the entire area under the outer tent, including the apses. It is attached to the outer tent and can be left attached during assembly and disassembly.
- The inner and outer tent can be used separately. To set up the inner tent separately, a pole holder is required (sold separately; see Accessories).
