The Mach1 MV Concept TD is a high-performance boot for alpine skiers who need medium volume and hard flex. The boot has a precise fit with a 100 mm last for medium-sized feet and optimal individual adaptation. With Tecnica's CAS system, the shape of the boot can be adjusted individually according to the shape of the foot. The asymmetric construction of the shell has varying thickness and structures in the boot's inner shoes which provide increased power transfer laterally, increased edge grip and faster and more controlled transition from edge to edge. The boot is developed by Tecnica's Italian design team together with an international collaboration called Project 165.

Drive Precision
T-Drive is a dynamic carbon fiber bridge that provides a stronger and more efficient connection between the cuff and the shell, supports the boot's flex and counteracts plastic deformation. It provides higher energy and more efficient power transmission. T-Drive provides a progressive flex regardless of temperature, which maintains shape and provides a more consistent movement. The support also allows the use of softer plastics, without compromising performance but making the boots more comfortable to step into.

T-Drive provides:
- Faster transitions from edge to edge
- Increased lateral force and stability
- Higher precision in movement

CAS Customization Shell
The shell has an anatomical shape that mimics the shape of the foot. The notches on the shell provide less surface tension and facilitate heating before adaptation. The material maintains the changed shape better and longer.
Shell features:
- Anatomical and precise shape
- Simplified and fast thermoforming
- Simplified customization

Scale adaptation
- Punching (increased volume): The polyether material can be heated and punched in problem areas
- Sanding (increased volume): the material is sandable in problem areas

Asymmetric Power Transmission
The asymmetric construction has a shell with varying thickness and structures in the boot's inner shoes. The inside of the shell is slightly thicker with higher torsional stiffness, the outside is thinner and more flexible.
The construction provides:
- Increased lateral power transfer
- Increased edge grip
- Increased sensitivity for the practitioner
- Faster and more controlled transition from edge to edge
- Surface treatment that prevents damage to the plastic

Lift Lock Buckles
Innovative mechanism that automatically lifts the buckles in the step of the boots. Facilitates especially with gloves, at low temperatures when the material is cold and difficult to work with.

Celliant®
The inner shoe is constructed with 13 thermoactive minerals that convert body heat into infrared energy. Infrared energy penetrates deep into the skin and increases circulation, oxygen and improves blood flow. Celliant® improves the warmth in the boots, provides increased heat circulation and faster recovery. A layer of lamb's wool further improves warmth.

Project 165
Project 165 is an initiative by Tecnica that aims to unite the world's best bootfitters and manufacturers from Europe and America. The aim is to bring together the best developers in the industry to develop the ultimate fit for boots. The name comes from the Pantone code for orange which is the company's trademark.
