The original Petromax Dutch Oven ft4.5 is ideal for cooking and baking outdoors or in the oven at home. Cast iron pots have been around since the 18th century and even then the unique properties of cast iron were appreciated. With the Dutch oven, Petromax takes up this tradition and also supplies the Dutch oven with many fine details.
High quality cast iron from Petromax
Thanks to the fantastic properties of cast iron and the special structure of the surface, the heat is stored and distributed efficiently. The pre-treated surface (seasonal finish) means that the first season is not needed, and the robust Dutch oven can be used immediately. Outdoors, it is used over an open fire or with coal and briquettes. The raised edge of the lid makes it possible to place embers or coals even on the Dutch oven. The Dutch oven is thus heated from all sides and is, for example, suitable for baking bread.
Great cooking pleasure with smart details
The Dutch oven is equipped with smart details that facilitate handling and provide a fantastic cooking experience. It can be easily lifted using a sturdy handle, three legs give stability to the Dutch oven, and a thermometer hole makes it possible to check the temperature without having to lift the lid. When you need it, it is particularly easy to lift the hot lid using the Petromax Lid Lifter. Another special feature is that the inverted lid can also be used as a frying pan. In addition to all these clever details, the Dutch oven has a traditional Petromax design: The lid is decorated with the elegant dragon logo, which has always stood for excellent quality and top-class products. Soups, meat dishes, stews, gratins and even cakes can be cooked to perfection in the Dutch oven.
Available in different sizes and can be supplemented with practical accessories
The Petromax Dutch Oven is available in several sizes, so that the right size can be chosen according to the recipe or the number of people. The medium-sized model ft4.5 of Dutch Oven has a capacity of about 3.5 liters and is enough to cook for 2-5 people. In addition to the Lid Lifter, there are other accessories for the Petromax Dutch Oven, such as Transport and Storage Bag, Care Conditioner and also cleaning tools for cast iron.
