Duke PT 16 Binding Freeride

The Duke PT 16 (DIN 6–16) is the top model in the Royal Family series, setting yet another milestone. It combines the superior function and downhill performance of a Jester binding with the comfortable uphill capabilities of a pin binding. A definitive highlight is the innovative Ride & Hike toe solution. In walk mode, the upper part easily unlocks and pivots forward, releasing the pin binding. To save swing weight, the upper jaw can be removed and stored in the backpack.

The multifunctional Lock & Walk unit automatically locks the brakes and provides a 10° climbing aid. In downhill mode, the front jaw clicks back onto the baseplate and is secured fourfold with Auto Quad Lock technology. After that, the toe piece functions exactly like an alpine toe piece with all its benefits.

The heel is the latest generation of Inter Pivot 3 freeride heels with a lightweight magnesium housing and improved stiffness. The low stand height of 24 mm enables direct power transmission and quick edge changes. Thanks to Multinorm, all Duke PT bindings are compatible with alpine, touring, and GripWalk ski boots.

LOCK & WALK BRAKE

INTER PIVOT 3 FREERIDE HEEL
The third and latest generation is completely re-engineered with improved power transmission, better energy absorption, and increased vertical elasticity in the heel, combined with improved step-in comfort.

RIDE & HIKE TOE
Combines the downhill performance and release function of the Royal Family with pin technology for strong uphill performance. In walk mode, the upper part easily unlocks and pivots forward, releasing the pin binding. Thanks to this convertible toe piece, 300 g per foot is saved on the ascent.

TRIPLE PIVOT ELITE X TOE
Magnesium parts are used because magnesium is the lightest and most robust metallic construction material. This makes the binding ideal for high-speed skiing and the most demanding lines.

MULTINORM (SOLE.ID)
Height-adjustable gliding plate compatible with all boot soles on the market.
Compatible with alpine (ISO 5355 A), touring (ISO 9523), and GripWalk soles (ISO 23223 A).
Easy adjustment with a Pozi screw at the front to set the gliding plate height.

GRIPWALK
Sole-binding system that provides better walking comfort and high skiing performance. GripWalk consists of a new copolymer sole with a rocker profile. The convex shape and ribbed rubber pattern provide high walking comfort and better grip. At the same time, integrated, rigid inserts enable efficient power transmission and more precise release. GripWalk soles are perfect adjustment components for selected premium boots and bindings.

GLIDING AFD
All MARKER bindings are equipped with a movable AFD (anti friction device) that provides very precise release, almost entirely unaffected by dirt, snow, and ice. Individual adjustment of the AFD according to the area of use ensures perfect function – from racing and junior bindings to touring.

ANTI ICE RAIL
Use the metal rail to scrape off ice and snow from under the boot sole.

AUTO QUAD LOCK
The toe piece automatically locks in four different points when you step into the binding.
