These lightweight pants are designed for freeride oriented skiing, but are also suitable for general skiing activities, mountaineering and hiking all year round. The pants are made of premium GORE-TEX® PRO fabric and we use it because it is world-leading in waterproofing (28,000mm), has optimized ventilation (RET lower than 13) and total windproofness.
The main material is three layers of 70D GORE-TEX® PRO material - a material with high breathability (RET 6) and a surface of 100% recycled nylon to ensure durable, reliable weather protection and optimized ventilation. They have a dyed ripstop back. The lower part of the leg has been reinforced with a lightweight Vectran™ material in 200D for increased durability where the trousers tend to rub against boots or steel edges.
Some key features are the Custom-Fit Waist™ system for easy customization, side ventilation from hip to below the knee with two-way zippers, two strategically placed thigh pockets and a small key pocket. Zippered openings from the lower leg that run up to the shaft make it easy to adjust the width for walking and ski mode.
Tightening below the knee allows tightening around the leg to prevent the fabric from unraveling when using crampons and they have built-in, lightweight, adjustable snow guards. Can be used with suspenders for climbing pants.
The pants have a roomy normal fit with articulated knees and seat for optimal riding mobility.
