Wood wedge

Gränsfors Vedkil is a twisted wedge with a grooved neck, chamfered edges and a hardened tip. Wood wedges are used to split really large, gnarled or gnarled logs. Sometimes several wedges may need to be used in parallel. The wood wedge is used in conjunction with the Wood ax, which, with its weight and strong hammer neck with beveled edges, is suitable for hitting a wood wedge with. Warning: Do not use an ordinary ax as a wedge or as a sledgehammer. It is not made to withstand that and can therefore be sprained. Keep in mind that there is always a risk in beating steel against steel. A steel chip can break loose and, as a projectile, damage an eye, for example. Use safety glasses and protective clothing. Make sure that the wood wedge and the neck edges of the Mallet are always bevelled.
