Just like in the Ortovox Pala Pants, they use extremely durable Cordura® in the new Pala Jacket. In the Martindale test, used to test wear resistance, the primary material was able to withstand over 50,000 wear cycles. In high tension areas we have used a more robust material mix made of Cordura® (100,000 wear cycles in the Martindale test) to offer maximum protection against rugged rock surfaces. Furthermore, the Merino Shield Tec line is made of polyamide and elastane on the outside and fine merino wool on the inside. This is a blend that guarantees high breathability and follows your every move on the mountain thanks to the 4-way stretch material and the shape of the sleeves that is perfectly adapted for climbing.
The Pala Jacket for women has an athletic cut that allows for maximum freedom of movement and flexibility when climbing. The elastic hood that fits under a climbing helmet, as well as elastic cuffs and adjustable seam, provides a close and comfortable fit without slipping. It is therefore perfect for climbing. The chest pocket has room for a map, cell phone or other small items that you may need to access quickly during a long day of climbing.
The Pala Jacket uses a wind and water resistant (DWR treated) material to provide good protection against wind and light rain. The reinforced areas in the shoulder, underarm and hip area protect the lightweight shell from contact with stones.
All in all: the PALA JACKET is the perfect companion for your alpine tours!
