The DoubleWool Balaclava is a scarf and hat in one. A balaclava prevents cold air, snow and wind from getting in around the neck. It provides the best protection against wind and cold and is in many cases more flexible than the scarf and hat combination. The fit is tight and it works perfectly under a helmet, for example. In front of the nose and mouth, the balaclava is constructed with only wool mesh to facilitate breathing, release moist warm air and prevent ice formation.
