Ortovox has improved its popular Free Rider series and created a ski backpack that takes comfort, flexibility and environmental consideration to a new level. A favorite among off-piste skiers, this backpack has undergone extensive upgrades to provide an even tighter fit and increased control. With a focus on sustainability, it uses recycled and PFC-free material and strives for CO2 neutrality in its entire production until 2024.
The separate compartment for avalanche/safety equipment provides quick access when needed. The new backpack has four compartments to organize your equipment and offers many attachment options for skis, snowboards and snowshoes.
The integrated back rail of the previous version has been replaced by a separate back rail to make the backpack more adaptable for different adventures. We recommend purchasing the Ortovox Clasp Spine Protector separately for optimal safety. The new Clasp Back System provides comfort and flexibility, although the back rail provides higher protection.
Perfect for on-piste and off-piste adventures, the Free Rider backpack is suitable for people with shorter backs (36-44 cm), especially aimed at women and men who are between 150-175 cm tall.
