What makes it special?
The men's Bouncer Jacket is Houdini's interpretation of an extra all-technical expedition type winter jacket. Maximum warmth with minimum weight, that's the basic idea, but the design team at Houdini has spent many hours creating the small details that give an elevated feeling of comfort. The stretchy, soft and quiet fabrics, the heat barriers at exposed points, the fantastic Primaloft® Rise lining. It also adheres to Houdini's absolute top standard for sustainability: Recycled and recyclable, PFAS-free, and made without stealing down or feathers from any birds.
How does it work?
The key component of the men's Bouncer Jacket is the high insulating ability combined with the low weight. This is made possible by the brand new Primaloft® Rise synthetic lining, which has an innovative type of structure that is able to create even more air gap than previous synthetic linings. And more fluff means more warmth. In addition, the lining is made from 80% recycled fibers and is completely recyclable. We use synthetic lining from Primaloft® partly for the technical properties, but also because we do not want to be part of the down industry. Keeping live birds caged up so we can wander freely outside doesn't feel right, especially not when modern technology makes the job even better. The Bouncer Jacket is made with two different outer fabrics: Surpass 2.5 Layer Hardshell and Spinner Ripstop. Surpass is a waterproof fabric that protects the head, shoulders and chest. Spinner is a light material that breathes well. Together they create a perfect balance between comfort and weather protection.
When should I use it?
The men's Bouncer Jacket is made to keep you warm when the wind picks up and the temperature drops well below zero. The durable construction, heat effect and low weight are designed for demanding adventures and high alpine environments. Mountain climbing, alpine skiing and long winter days out in the open.
The garment is recyclable and we ask that you return it to Houdini when it is completely worn out. In this way, we can take care of the raw materials and nothing goes to waste. Recycling boxes can be found in all Houdini stores and at many retailers.
