The main material is a lightweight recycled 20D nylon that is windproof and water resistant. They are also very easy to pack and durable for their weight, making them perfect to carry as insulating shorts. The main insulation is a recycled thermo40 with a thermo60 in the seat. The Thermo40 insulation provides excellent insulation even when wet, has a high warmth-to-weight ratio and is the most packable insulation product in our range.

They are a weatherproof insulating garment that works great as an outer layer or under a shell pant. With a long zipper, the pants can be easily put on and taken off without taking off your shoes/pants and the zippers on the side coordinate so you don't have to spend time trying to match them. They compress into a packable pocket on the thigh, making them very easy to carry.

The shorts have a technical fit but still fit over trousers or shorts. They have a length just above the knee and a padded front around the hip flexors to lock the insulation in place in this area and achieve natural folds.
