The Ortovox Free Ride 26 S is the optimal backpack for a day in the powder snow. With a capacity of 26 litres, it offers plenty of space for avalanche equipment, extra clothes and snacks. On the outside there is a versatile carrying setup for skis, snowboard, ice axe, poles and helmet.
The backpack is compatible with hydration systems, but the system is not included. It has ergonomically designed straps and a stable back panel that distributes weight evenly for great comfort and stability. A new safety feature is the extra safety strap that attaches around the leg to secure the backpack in the event of an accident.
Compatible with Ortovox Clasp back protection for added security. It comes with the electric AVABAG LiTRIC airbag system, easy to use just like the traditional AVABAG system.
The AVABAG LiTRIC system uses a battery and an electric motor to fill the cushion with air, eliminating the need for gas cartridges each time it is deployed. The system can be triggered up to 50 times and the battery is designed for extreme temperatures, tested from -30 degrees to +45 degrees.
With a battery life of up to 60 hours, you can always monitor the battery level via an LED display on the side of the backpack. When the battery is fully charged, it can provide at least two airbag deployments.
