The features are designed to help you cope with extremely cold temperatures more easily. The front zipper is insulated and draft-free, the inside mesh pockets are large enough to hold lots of gear or reach with bulky gloves on, and the hand pockets sit behind the insulation to protect against icy fingers when the temperature drops. The hood can be adjusted and tightened to seal against the wind, and a stiff top helps improve visibility and protect your face.
