The Aclima DoubleWool Polo is a warm and incredibly comfortable wool polo with a zipper. Polo combines two of Aclima's most popular wool series, namely WarmWool and WoolNet.
The inner layer is WoolNet in 80% merino wool and 20% polyamide. This layer is a mesh that creates a large amount of stagnant air. This air insulates very well, so you can stay warm without problems. In addition to this, the layer is highly breathable and moisture wicking.
The outer layer is WarmWool, which is a thicker wool layer in 100% merino wool. The combination of these two layers gives you unbeatable insulation and warmth while allowing the body to breathe freely.
The DoubleWool Polo has a high collar and storm flaps, so you can stay warm. A clever feature is that Aclima have incorporated their Pulse Heaters, which are a warm and snug fit around the wrists, held in place by a thumb loop. This is ingenious because the blood vessels here are very superficial, which leads to cold fingers - a problem you will no longer experience with the DoubleWool Polo.
In addition to being warm, the polo is also highly temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking. However, the best thing about wool is that it is naturally anti-bacterial, which means that it will not smell bad.
You also don't have to worry about the wool being itchy. Merino wool has a fiber thickness of just 20.5 microns. It is therefore so nice that there is no risk of either itching or irritation.
In summary, the Aclima DoubleWool Polo is an ingenious garment that works perfectly as an intermediate layer during the harsh cold or as an outer garment during the transition period.
