This ski, Åsnes Ingstad BC, is perfect for steep terrain and demanding downhill skiing. It is both skate-friendly and versatile, with a shin lock function. The ski has a marked waist and excellent speed characteristics with a weight of 2050 g per pair.

This ski is ideal for demanding downhill skiing, but also works well for long stages on flat terrain. The new Ingstad has a clear rocker and taper at the tip, which makes the ski easier to turn. At the same time, it has become more stable in direction and therefore even more versatile. With a wooden core of paulownia and poplar, the ski has a very low weight.

For added reliability, it has sturdy steel edges, excellent floatation and is equipped with stirrup locks for short stirrups. The ski is compatible with 75mm bindings, but BC bindings can also be used.

If you want to benefit from the Åsnes stirrup skin system, the use of narrow stirrup skins (mohair, 45 mm) is recommended in cold weather and flat terrain. In wet weather and steep terrain, you should use a synthetic short 60mm wide tread skin.

Specifications:

  • Core: Wood core of paulownia/poplar
  • Weight, per pair: 2050 grams at length 195 cm
  • Geometry: 84-62-74 mm
  • Coating: Sintered coating (possible to herd)
  • Lengths: 175, 185, 195, 205 cm
  • Steel edge: Full, 1.9 x 2.1 mm
  • Tidal lock: Yes. Short stirrups with a width of 60 mm are recommended

Selection of length: The length of the ski should be 10-12 cm longer than the height of the user, but if you do not weigh much, you can choose a slightly shorter ski. The same applies to inexperienced skiers. Shorter lengths make the ski easier to handle but may reduce the carrying capacity somewhat.
