Power Air Houdi is the result of an innovation project where Houdini collaborated with Polartec®. The goal was to solve the problem of microfiber release from synthetic fleece. Science can't yet fathom the ultimate consequences of microplastic pollution, but it's a growing problem. Synthetic materials are one of the many sources of microplastics in our waters, and Houdini is therefore determined to do its part in helping to stop the problem.
Power Air from Polartec is a material constructed in a new and exciting way. Instead of exposing the heat-insulating fibers, they are encased in small pockets. This creates a material with the functions of a normal fleece, but with up to five times less fiber emissions compared to the best quality materials on the market. The jacket is made from 54% recycled fibres, so in addition to reducing plastic emissions, it is also created from already used plastic.
Power Air Houdi a light, airy and wonderfully warm reinforcement jacket that you can wear all year round. The smooth surface makes it a perfect extra layer under the shell jacket in winter. The breathable material also provides a perfect body temperature when used as an outer garment on a chilly summer evening. The fit is based on the iconic Houdini Power Houdi, with a close cut, a tight and high collar with a hood and extended sleeves with thumbholes.
